Health & Safety AT IGES

UPDATE: October 14, 2020

What to Expect at the Show: Health & Safety Plan

In an effort to produce a safe and successful IGES show, we have implemented some changes. Here are some important things you need to know to prepare for IGES this year.

WHAT ATTENDEES NEED TO KNOW
1.        Pack a Face Covering.

Face coverings will be required at all times without exception while you are at the show.

2.     Daily Temperature Screenings Will Be Conducted.

Screenings will be conducted upon building entry for EVERYONE.

3.     Agreement to Entry Terms and Conditions.

Before receiving your badge on site and entering the IGES show, you will be asked to acknowledge and accept certain Terms and Conditions from page 3 of the Health and Safety Plan. Please take a moment to review these before arriving at the show as this will allow us to get you inside as quickly as possible.

4.     Plan for Extra Time to Enter the Show.

As we are taking additional measures for health and safety reasons, please plan accordingly and consider this when booking appointments with your buyers or vendors and allow extra time when arriving at the show for a temperature check and consent form.

5.     Review the Health and Safety Plan.

Please review our full Health and Safety Plan so you are familiar with it and know what to expect on show site.

6.     Hungry?

Food and beverages at the LeConte Center will be available for purchase from trained catering staff. Complimentary coffee and donuts have been discontinued due to health and safety guidelines in place at this time.

WHAT EXHIBITING COMPANIES NEED TO KNOW

1.     Pick up your badge prior to entering the loading dock area.

Badges are now required prior to accessing the building and loading dock area. Please proceed to registration at the front of the building to pick up your badge prior to going to the loading dock area. This also applies to any personnel you have hired to help set up your booth.

2.     Pack a Face Covering.

Face coverings will be required at all times without exception while you are at the show.

3.     Daily temperature checks will be required prior to accessing the building.

Dedicated exhibitor temperature screening staff will be available at the loading dock. Temperature screening is also available at the front of the building; however, we encourage exhibitors to use the loading dock each day for expedited screenings and entry.

5.     Plan for Extra Time to Enter the Show.

As we are taking additional measures for health and safety reasons, please plan accordingly and consider this when booking appointments with your buyers or vendors and allow extra time when arriving at the show for a temperature check and consent form.

6.     Exhibit floor flow has been modified to allow for social distancing.

Aisles have been designated as one-way only, and some doors have been designated as exit-only and enter-only. On-site signage will clearly identify this. Aisle carpet has been eliminated to allow for enhanced cleaning and sanitation. Individual booths will continue to include carpet.

7.     Double-check your booth number/location.

The show floor will look a little different this year, so be sure to check where your booth is located.

8.     Review the Health and Safety Plan.

Please review our full Health and Safety Plan so you are familiar with it and know what to expect on show site.

We are doing everything we can to make this the best show we can and just ask for your patience and to plan ahead so we can all get back to business. We truly thank you for your understanding as we work together to have a safe and productive show.

Let’s Get Back to Business Y’all!

UPDATE: September 16, 2020

Important Show Updates

In an effort to produce a successful and safe IGES trade event, we are announcing the following changes for the upcoming show, effective immediately.

Most importantly, we will only be producing this year’s IGES in the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN, on November 4 – 7, 2020.

Currently, due to the capacity restrictions at the Sevierville Convention Center which is mandated at 500 people at any one time, IGES will not be able to stage at the Sevierville Convention Center. With IGES staging only at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, we are in constant contact with the LeConte Center team.

Additionally, in an effort to decrease the number of shuttle rides buyers must take to multiple locations, we are working in conjunction with the Smoky Mountain Gift Show to ensure both shows are as safe and convenient as possible for our community.

Please note the following updates:

Show Date Update:

IGES will now run on Wednesday, November 4 – Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Pigeon Forge only. The show will no longer open on Tuesday.

Show Hours Update:

IGES and the Smoky Mountain Gift Show have changed the show hours to run concurrently and will now take place during the following hours:

  • Wednesday, November 4 – Friday, November 6: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 7: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Show Location Update:

IGES will take place in ONE location only at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, located at 2986 Teaster Lane, Pigeon Forge, TN. Due to the capacity limitations at the building, we will not have any part of the event at the Sevierville location this year.

Both IGES and the Smoky Mountain Gift Show will continue to provide shuttle transportation for buyers between the two venues.

We are very excited to welcome you all to IGES and can’t wait to see your smiling faces. If there is anything at all we can do, questions we can answer for you, we are here. Just reach out!

Sincerely,
Your IGES Show Team

UPDATE: July 20, 2020

Planning for IGES is well underway, continuing our goal of delivering the most comprehensive souvenir, resort and specialty gift trade show in the U.S.  From name drop to fully customizable products and everything in between, IGES is where destination, resort, tourism and gift show buyers come to shop.

And over the years it has become much more than just a trade show, it’s a vacation experience and business trip all in one, where we meet with old friends and make new ones in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

While this will be one of the most challenging events we have staged, it will also be among the most rewarding for those participating.  There is no doubt the show will be different, but the IGES team is making plans to protect the show’s core business value in a safety-first environment.

Health & Safety Measures

Your safety, security and health are always our top priority. We will continue to follow the recommendations and guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as those issued by state and local officials. We will adapt and change our plans as recommendations become available, to limit potential spread most effectively. We will post regular updates here on this page.

Some measures we are implementing during the show include:

  • Social distancing and face coverings will be required at all times
  • Daily, heightened cleaning and sanitizing of all public spaces
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned at key locations throughout each facility
  • Based on facility recommendations, aisle widths on the exhibit floor may be increased
  • Medical personnel will be onsite to provide assistance to anyone not feeling well
  • View the complete IGES / Emerald Preparedness, Prevention & Response Plan

We are working closely with the Sevierville and Pigeon Forge communities, including the City of Sevierville and the City of Pigeon Forge as well as our hotel partners, and our venues, the Sevierville Convention Center and the LeConte Center at Pigeon Forge.

Though we are excited for IGES 2020, we also recognize the possibility that new developments with the pandemic may require us to make changes and we will keep you abreast of those changes through regular email communication and will always keep this page updated.  Thank you for your support during what is an uncertain time for all of us.
